I WANT IT ALL

WHAT I COVET NOW ....

It has been an amazing season in fashion the very least. All the Fashion Week be it over or still running (NY, Paris & Milan) is in full swing and the wonderful products being shown is awesome though I raised my eyebrow at some pieces like - how do you wear that headgear in public!! But hey only one person can wear those head pieces and it's none other than Anna Della Russo. I do think that she is eccentric but I may not necessary share the same passion for her head attire. Ha ha.

Anyway some items which I would like to cradle are as follows:

1. YSL Shoulder Bag

2. Balmain Tweed Jacket

3. Needle & Thread Dress (It's so Valentino lookalike)

4. Ileana Makri Diamond Earrings

5. Acid Yellow pair of Valentino Rockstud Pumps (AHHHH!)

I think I should make a quick dash to buy a lottery ticket now. Hope I win.

TO CREAM OR TO OIL YOUR CELLULITE

ELEMIS BODY CARE

Fuh my last entry was before Valentine's Day. Yes, have been busy with work and children. In between I got my braces done. My orthodontist suggested Damon Clear Brackets and it has been in place for two weeks now. So far so good, I have yet to see the full effect but I will discuss that in another post.

So what have I ventured into lately.

Aha, body care or more like anti cellulite, body firming and skin care to be exact.

I have been using Elemis Camellia Oil when I was pregnant with my two children and it was good on my dry skin. It was also effective on stretch marks but I guess I slacked off during my second pregnancy thinking that my skin and body will bounce back. Well it kinda did but at a much slower pace and I was left with some unsightly marks on my butt, thigh and stomach. Blame it on my daughter who is heavier than her brother of course.

I consulted my friend who is a beautician or asthetician. OK many people does not like beautician/asthetician but I trust my friend cause she definitely have a hand in keeping my face off from acne, sun spots and blackheads for the last 12 years I must say. She suggested why don't I start with some radio frequency treatment (RX Treatment) to firm up my saggy stomach skin coupled with anti cellulite or skin firming cream to assist my problem areas.

OK I have been using the cream and have undergone 3 RX Treatment and I am pleased to say the very least. Stomach is not so bulgy and skin is firmer and the best thing is that H was asking 'wow your stomach is flat now'. Comments coming from H is a positive thing since he rarely ever realise what I have done with myself (whether I have recently dyed or cut my hair or others). I have 3 more RX Treatment and since I have ran our of the anti cellulite cream given I have decided to go back to Elemis to try out the Cellutox Active Body Concentrate after hearing rave

(This is the 200ml Elemis Cellutox - Ha ha check out my I-Phone charger sticking out from the photo)

Note of Caution:

Pregnant and Nursing woman should refrain from using any of these or any other slimming products for fearing that the ingredients may be absorbed into your body and be transferred to the baby. As such if you are pregnant do not be wary about how you will look, because YES pregnant woman put on weight and it is natural. Just try to lose your pregnancy weight in stages and in a healthy manner like exercising and eating right for example. It took me 3 months to lose weight with my first child and 7-8 months with my second. Actually I did not exercise at all (ha ha, quite bad huh), I ate like normal or even more as I was fully breastfeeding my child for up to 15 months. Yes, breastfeeding helps you to lose weight. It is not easy but it is worth it. However I am back to my exercise regime, though not as often as I should like but at least twice a week, be it swimming or running on the treadmill.

Alright back to the oil and cream, I will give it a try and let you know the results in at least 2-3 weeks time. It should be good.

To all pregnant ladies - enjoy being pregnant and all nursing mothers - be happy bonding with your babies!

Love.

VALENTINE'S DAY

LOVER

Yes, it is around the corner - oh St. Valentine. I do not celebrate Valentine's Day except before I was married some eager pursuer will send me roses and chocolates. It's nice of them but it's a bit of a cliche. So I bought a dress and I have no where to go.

Meet my Lover :)

So this is my new Lover dress. Love the intricate detailing and the lace. I got it in Size US2 and it fits perfectly. I really like another purple one which they have online, however I'm not much of an A-Line dress style person and though I love the purple I prefer the style on this black one. Well, maybe ... and perhaps if I have some extra cash I may splurge on the purple one too.

Happy Monday peeps. Back to work now.

GLEEFUL OF SHOPPING SPREE

CLOTHES & SHOES GALORE

Seems like the final sales or reduction is hitting its peak before the new season really unfolds (sending the Winter season packing that is). As such there are additional discounts everywhere.

So as usual I got a few items. Close your eyes H :)

The spoils as follows:

The Fendi Studded Shoes

I have been eyeing this for a bit since I spotted them at the store. Had tried them on and (initially) wanted to get the Beige ones but it was all sold out online, so I went ahead with the Black Pair. Still lovely really. It was like RM3299-00 in KL and got it at 60% less at Farfetch. Sweet.

Lovely indeed.

What's next?

Issa Dress

I love wrap dresses especially from DVF and Issa. I have more than 10 wrap dresses as to date. It's easy to dress especially in the morning without me having to think of a matching bottom (when you are running around trying to prepare your kids to school as well). The best attire there is out there.

Hmm, supposed to be the year of the Horse but I got Zebra motif instead. Still looks good.

Last but not least, ta dah .....

Suede Blue Pants from Rag & Bone

It looks a tad tiny but I have to try to see whether it fits but the blue is divine.

Hmm, I cross my fingers that the Pants will fit as I'll be wearing this to my Hong Kong Trip this coming Friday.

OK trying time. Will let you know the verdict soon.

GREY GREY GREY

MONDAY BLUES

Whuah I hate Mondays! I mean I do like it sometimes. I was on a 50:50 like and no-like today.

Like because I have just received my Charlotte Olympia sandals but hate cause now Matches send me an e-mail stating that there is a further 20% discount on already discounted items. WHY NOW???

Besides works and unfilled papers on my table, my office is in a real mess and should I go to the gym today since I have to wash my hair today anyway? .... Aih ... if I do leave slightly earlier today will the boss who is currently away bark at me (if he decides to call me from the airport asking me to do a final errand). All these leading to an EUHHH decision and answers.

But H had said 'use your blog as an escape from it all'. Eh .. it's more like a place for my inventory list of things I have bought really.

My shoes ...

Charlotte Olympia Grey Sandals

OK I have made up my mind. Gym it is then.

STATEMENT EARRINGS

LETS START WITH DIOR

Mise En Dior

Oh I do so love it. I mean the way pearls are being utilised in a very modern way and no longer just limited to ladies above 50 and surely wearing pearls do not age you now, but keep you in a 'formidable fashion'.

Yes, I may be a little slow in embracing it since it was launched in late 2013 but it's only the beginning of 2014. It cost a bomb and it's rather hard to scout for, besides it sells for 2x the original price on EBay - I guess I am not in a rush to own a pair though I am lusting over it. Hah!

I may just get my friend to make a pair for me. I can't wait top show you the finished work.

Other pair lusty earrings are as follows:

Earrings by Sophie Bille Brahe

Earrings by Maria Black (Photos from Net A Porter)

And Ors ....

Sigh, I want all please!!!

Good Friday. Sayonara.

EIGHT ACRES

BACK TO NATURE

It has been awhile since I do any body cleansing ... urm as a matter in fact I never do any body cleansing. Ha ha ha. Yup, I have heard of many fads and diets and juice detox etc etc .. I guess my major problem is that I could never stick to it. I can maybe stick to my gym and pool but other than that I do love to eat. I also do not post any food pictures as most of the time I would have finished my meal before I could take out my camera to snap a picture or two.

So what is the next best thing ... soul cleansing. During the December break my whole family decided to go back to nature.

We went to this place called Eight Acres. It is in Pahang, well some where in Raub and located in the palm oil plantation. I did not drive so I cannot really describe the way or how to get there. But I am posting a direct link to their website so that you can go check it out if you wish.

Here it goes Eight Acres

The thing that I like best about this place is the water fall. My kids love it and it is a good picnic spot too. The accommodation that I was staying in is called the Java House which is perched on a slope next to the water fall. It is a sight to behold when we are staying in the House and we get to hear the rushing sound of the water and enjoy the beautiful view as well.

The Waterfall

The Pond where you can do your boating in.

The Dining Area and the Wooden Path surrounding the Tatami Area

The Tour around the area seeing Tualang trees, Durian trees and others.

The children get to see oil palm or is it palm oil (ehhh) first hand.

As you see this is not a descriptive or where I provide information of what you can do at Eight Acres but more on what my family did there. It was good for the children though my son rejected the pony ride and the boat ride (of course H could not find my son's pants and decided to put my daughter's pants on him). All in all it was a good experience for the young ones. As for my father in law (FIL) who is an avid camper he may find this a child's play but I guess spending time with the family is great as there is no where to run to.

I think in the future if I do come here again I may not want to stay in the Java House as I dislike the toilet/bath. It is really basic and it's a cemented four wall toilet. I like my toilet nice and spanky clean in white. I mean the toilet there is clean but because it is environmental friendly some may not like the natural odour of the toilet. Ha ha. The toilet is also open air in the sense that the roof is perched on four pillars and the top part is open so air flows through. Urmm, on a cold day it is not that great as the heating system is not at top notch operation when I was there.

In all it was a quick getaway as I only stayed there for one night.

Note: The food served was good. There were fresh fishes caught from the nearby ponds cooked in many styles to serve your taste bud (again no food photo taken :)

I think the Owners of Eight Acres are doing a good job in trying to introduce nature to city dwellers like me, though when I was younger I used to visit my grandmother who lives near a rubber plantation and my mother used to take my siblings and I fishing in the clearest stream located in the plantation. Then we would pick up rubber seeds and wild fruits before charcoal roasting the sweet potatoes that we brought along for lunch. Unfortunately the plantation had since been sold and converted to an industrial area with plenty of factories built on it. It is unfortunate, hopefully there are more places like Eight Acres so that I can still live on my memories.

So go out and venture the nature today!
